Meet The Founder
Chris Whaley is the founder and CEO of Flint Hills Capital. He was raised in Lawrence, Kansas, and is a sixth-generation Kansan with over 20 years of real estate experience and over 50 successful real estate transactions to date. Chris spend 25 years in the technology industry, leading sales and marketing for several large and small technology firms. He attended the University of Maryland and is a Marine veteran.

OVERVIEW
COVID-19 has led to a significant transformation in the self-storage industry. Tenants across nearly all geographic markets are now comfortable with “no contact” interactions when it comes to moving in, moving out, and making payments.
Flint Hills has identified more value in rural areas in the Midwest United States compared to urban areas on the coasts or in the Sun Belt. These rural markets are often overlooked and exhibit considerably more inefficiency.
In metropolitan locations, prices tend to be much higher due to fundamental factors like population growth, as well as less tangible, non-fundamental factors. Our preference is for consistent growth and strong economies found in tertiary communities across various Midwestern states, such as Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri.

These strategies include raising rents to match market prices, developing vacant land with additional storage units, implementing advanced technology such as 24/7 security surveillance, and delivering exceptional customer service.
